Youth Scripture of the Month 1st Corinthians 4: 3-NIRV
1) I care very little if I am judged by you or any human court. 2) I don’t even judge
myself. 3) I don’t feel I have done anything wrong. But that doesn’t mean I’m not guilty. The Lord judges me.
I think this scripture proves that we should not listen to the judgement of men, only the one God. We need to abide by him.

CHESTNUT RIDGE SOUNDS LIKE THIS TRIP GETS A ‘THUMBS UP’
This was my first time going sledding. I didn’t know what to expect. We drove a long time, maybe it seemed long because I was so excited, but we finally arrived. We went into the lodge and ate lunch that was prepared for us. After lunch, we went back out for more sledding and fun in the snow. The best part of all was sledding with my church siblings Jimmy, Limmie, Shamar, Lauren, and my parents. I can’t wait for next year’s winter event. Thanks to all the adults who helped make this trip happen. Y’dnic

From the yells on the bus to the hoorays of “WE’RE HERE!” to the not so much yells, and not even close to hoorays, but a scream down the terrifying, icy, fast slope of Chestnut Ridge, was my experience. The ride on the bus was very long. It was like the longer you stayed on the bus, the more scary things you saw in your head: Like wiping out, crashing or someone pushing you down WITHOUT a sled!
When we finally got there, the thoughts went out and the thoughts I had weren’t so bad….they were worse! The things that happened I cannot explain. Some were just minor and others were fine. When we talk about what the boys did, it was from head-on collisions to sledding bumper derby races down the hill. Sadly, some people didn’t even make the trip down the slope by wiping out half way there. For example, Sis. Angel, but let’s not even go to that tragic wipeout!
Lastly, I think we all enjoyed ourselves and got to know each other better.
